Clash Royale one of the most addictive mobile player vs player !
I am sure you already know this game, and today we're going to speak about Your Clan !
CLASH ROYALE CLAN MANAGEMENT
Many players at some point want to create a clan in clash royale 😎
Having your own clan is great, you can be your own boss, make the rules, have your own team to participate to War, and have this feeling of becoming part of a family fighting for your crest, following the same horizon to reach the same goals 👍
Seems great no ? The only issue is… It's not that easy to maintain a clan !
There are thousands of thousands of clans in clash royale, but not every one of them are successful… Far from it actually ! Many of them are totally inactive, with players who haven't even set a foot on the game in weeks if not even months!
You know at the start, the people who create a new clan can be very motivated! Most of them have already been in a few clans, but they didn't like what they saw… And so they decided to create their own! Problem is… This motivation can erode pretty fast!
So you know what ? Players are motivated, and they seek a clan where the leader acts as one! Not a pussy and not a dictator… Find the right balance! Keep all of these players from leaving to create their own clan, lose their motivation and then leave the game.
Clash Royale Clan Management Guide
Before i start, here is my little baby in Clash Royale! A clan that i called by the very same name of this website… And that i created during the COVID-19 Pandemic, because we were all working from home and i admit i had some spare time 😏 So my clan TAG is #LR9L8C2L and if you are an active player in War, you can always try to join.
Though… Don't join if you plan to “stay idle”, in that case you'll be kicked without notice 😉 My own primary account is clanless at the moment, because i went into holidays and decided to not let my account “idle” in the clan. At least like that i show my clan that i also apply to myself the basic rules they have to follow. Here is the link to my account.

Largegamer.com my one and only clan created during CoVid
In my absence, and i would even say even when i am back, the leader of my clan is Nick the great. Nick has been a reliable person since several years, playing on a regular basis and even cleaning the clan from non-active players. There is not a single doubt in my mind that i can trust him 👍
And here we have our first lesson… You need people YOU CAN TRUST in your clan ! Reliable players who are not going to kick everyone in case you promote them, people who like clash royale and who are going to play on a regular basis, thus showing signs that your clan is ACTIVE ! It is never good for a clan to show signs of INACTIVITY.
![]()
Here is an example of a Clan showing INACTIVITY signs…
Just to make things clear, i have strictly nothing against this Australian clan above. But it is a very good example of “Clan Management Issues” ! Have you seen all of these red banners under the players names ? These are the perfect example of warning saying “Don't join this clan, no one is playing and no one does the cleaning!“. 🙃
You are The Leader… So Act as one !
It will do you no good at all to act like a kind leader, you will only look like…
- A “desperate leader”, because you don't want to lose players so you're desperate.
- A “scared leader”, because you're scared about the reaction of others.
Basically your members will see you as someone with “No Balls” or a “Pussy”.
You don't want this right ? You want people to respect you right ? Then learn that Respect doesn't come with kindness… It comes with “showing you have something in your pants”. A leader is not desperate about losing inactive members, nor either scared about what the others are going to think about him / her.
So it's high time you select all of these inactive members, and kick them one by one !
Then you can always say a little “Did some cleaning, these players were totally inactive in months” in the chat. 😏

Clash Royale Clan Management Guide
In the example above we clearly saw that there was no clan management at all since months! Because there is a very useful function to remind everyone that they are needed by the clan! Actually there are even two, and you can use each of them if you have at least the rank of “Co-Leader” in your clan. So only the Leaders and Co* can use them.
First! The Nudge button.
If you have a clan, you have to participate to War. If you don't participate to War, you can leave this page, i don't even know why you have a clan… If it's only to give the illusion you are building a clan, but do not participate in something together then don't even bother creating a clan… And in that case you can be a Pussy no one will care 🤣
Nudge is an essential function only available during Wars, you just have to tap on the profile of every one of your members, so one by one… That's called “Management” 😏 You'll see when was the last time the person was online, and if it's like 2 days or more, you can begin to tap the Nudge button! It will send this person a notification on his / her phone.
On a Weekly basis you MUST use the NUDGE on EVERY Inactive members!
Yes there will be players who will dislike this… Maybe they will leave your clan, and if that's the case ? Good riddance i say, you don't need to keep players who are away from the game. Or maybe they will tell you in chat…
Stop nudging me, or stop sending me notifications !
Usually they never say anything…
Because you're the leader, so your clan, your rules! But in case it happens and these inactive players begin to revolt in the chat, do not hesitate to kick them with a little customized message, both in the kick message and in the chat like…
Now you won't receive notifications anymore 😏 bye bye!
Again… I will repeat it again and again… You do not want to keep “dead weights” in your clan.
Second! The Clan Leader message.
The Clan Leader message can be sent from the home profile of your clan, it's a wide message sent to the whole clan which will appear in every players mailbox. The mailbox inside clash royale… It's not going to be sent on their gmail 🤣
Usually these messages are done only once a week, do not abuse with clean leader messages…
These messages are meant to be motivating!
Don't blame your members, try to make them understand that it's important to participate to War, that we all have to gain in the process, and that participating even losing is always better than no participation at all 😇 Use Clean leader messages for wisdom related messages, encouragements and showing you're a good leader.
These are the kind of clean leader messages i was sending every week
Keep your members motivated every week and the nudge button won't have to be used that much.
Still both functions are useful on a weekly basis.

Clash Royale Clan Management Guide
Also… When you need to kick someone, you don't need to “act tough” and argue for several messages.
Most of the time remain silent and do what you have to do “nudge, kick”. You know, when new players will join your clan (because you invited them… obviously 😏), if they see in the chat history several messages of people arguing and insulting each other, they will leave the clan in no time!
Who would want to stay in a place where people are fighting among themselves ? no one…
So limit your messages in the chat, let the players have their fun but not too much… find the right balance.
The Clan chat is not a trash bin, and if some players begin to use 30 emotes consecutively, spamming the whole chat with rubbish and lol and whatever, warn them or simply kick them like i do… Because such players obviously need to spend more time on their MSN (Facebook / Skype) Messenger than in your Clan.
Let's take an example below :
This player “levent” used to spam the chat with emotes…
There were literally 60 lines of them ! I didn't do anything but began to think he wasn't fit for our clan… And when i began to kick one member on the right, he put a final emote and left, along with another guy. Good riddance because both were not really active players in War, so their 2 spots were then filled by other players.
As you can see, i didn't say anything on the right, just kicked an Inactive player.
You don't need to clarify every one of your actions, again and again you're the leader. If your members trust you are a good leader, they know for certain you know what you're doing, and so they don't need any explanations.
Clash Royale Clan Management Guide
Now let's say your clan is new or need new members, where are you going to find them ?
Before you answer…
Never EVER post a message on a forum or Reddit or whatever thread speaking about Clash Royale, saying “Join my clan blablabla” ! Jesus christ guys… It looks so “Desperate” ! And anyway nobody cares about forum messages…
No… The best way is through fighting in 1vs1 or 2vs2!
Then after the fight, check the profiles of the players you played with or against, and if you like their stats… (Because of course you're not going to invite people with not enough trophies) INVITE THEM! Even if you lost… Yes ! Put your Ego aside, a real leader knows when to forget about his pride, ego, hubris or whatever you call it.
I was destroyed by a player, checked his profile, liked it… then invited him 😎.
Really the best way to have more players into your clan is to fight against them !
It's also possible to click on the “Tournaments” on the homepage of Clash Royale…
Then search for the letters “a, b, c, d” or numbers like “1, 2, 3, 4” it will then show you a list of FREE tournaments. You can browse them and the list of players inside, even without joining the tournament, and then by clicking on every players with no crest (they don't have a clan), you'll be able to invite them.
Well… most of the time their mailboxes will be full and if that's the case, you won't be able to invite them.
But frankly stick to the 1vs1 or 2vs2, i have invited hundreds of players from the tournaments over the years, and those who really stick to your clan are the one you really fought with or against. The others leave pretty fast… So inviting people from the tournaments is time consuming, and the recruitment success in the end is not good.
Also something important :
Please don't BM (Bad Manners) during the games! Nobody will accept your invite if you are a fucking prick… On Clash Royale there are MANY players who can't bear Defeat! Well… You will have to show these people that you embrace defeat, because defeat means experience, and only the people who embrace the defeat become strong later on!
It also shows you are wise enough to understand that… “There will be always someone stronger than you”, and by inviting them that… “You want people in your clan who are good” not only the people you manage to beat.
As a rule of thumb : Don't emote every 5 seconds in battle… It only shows you are NERVOUS.
Players who are confident in their skills, who can manage their nerves and stress levels don't need to use emotes. Most of them even disable them… Because it's distracting in a fight, even more when several people are watching your match, and everyone begins to spam emotes on the left and right of the field.
And don't say “Good game” every 5 seconds as well, as soon as you received a lot of damage… In that case if you say “Good Game” you should stop the game right now! But if you continue to play and still send a “Good game” every 5 seconds, it just means you can't handle your stress.

Clash Royale Clan Management Guide
Okay, now let's speak about the War and the little things you should know about.
First of all, a basic and obvious thing to do is to fill all of the defense slots on your boat. And for those they should be filled by the stronger teammates in your clan… Again it's obvious that a defense will be more efficient with level 15 cards, than with level 13… It's also why you should only invite in your clan people who have managed to reach a certain level of trophies, thus ensuring these people have cards good enough to make the difference in War.
My main account has level 15 cards, so i can even put myself in first position.
When you attack other clans boats, DO NOT DESTROY ALL THE TOWERS AT ONCE !
Why ? Because you'll receive the same amount of points if you destroy 1, 2 or 3 cannons… 😅
Yeah i know it's strange… or maybe it's intended…
But the point is : When you attack another boat – and i always encourage every players to do it, because it's basically stress-free as it's against the computer – Only focus on one cannon, and if you have more attacks in stock (4 maximum per day) then you can begin to damage another cannon, like this it will be easier and easier for your next attacks. But always remember that killing more than 1 cannon won't bring you more points !
Killing One Cannon is 125 points, more than one is also 125…
Also losing is 75 points… So even if you have a player launching his 4 attacks just to die, because let's say he doesn't have the time to play… Well it will still be 300 points 😍 And i prefer to keep one player like that who participate even just to die 4 times, but brings me 300 points to the mix, than 1 person who tells me he doesn't have the time and do nothing. (Because in reality his ego is too high to send his cards to the death losing 4 times in a row…).
Always focus and destroy a Max of 1 Cannon, and just damage the others.
Another Rule of Thumb : After each cannon destroyed, it's considered as a Win, and so you will win one box. But you have to click on the “Close” button on the ship, in order to get this box! There is a bug and i don't think it has been fixed yet, where if you don't click the close button between each cannon destroyed, it will be considered as a Win but you won't get the box !! 😡 So it will be like you got the box, but in fact no… you got nothing out of your win.
After every cannon destroyed, click the close button to get your rewards.
Finally on the War page, it's important on a weekly basis to check who is participating and who is never participating… It can easily be checked with the “Past Wars” Tab as seen on the 2nd screenshot, and then click on the “Info” button of each previous wars. You'll quickly see who are the slackers and who are the players you want to keep.
Clan Management is useful to keep the best players out there !
Because at some point, the players who are participating a lot in the War, won't understand why you continue to keep players not helping at all… At this point it will be like in Real Life in companies, where slackers tend to create a toxic environment by not doing what they're supposed to do, and other people working hard will notice it! In Real life people just leave these companies and in Clash Royale they will leave your clan. So, from time to time you need to make “examples” of these slackers by kicking them one by one.
One or two slackers kicked per week is advised, don't kick them all at the same time if you have many of them. Because you need to ensure they will be replaced by inviting new people and you never know if players will accept to join or not, and also when you kick too many players in one blow… Even if they are slackers, sometimes it can be perceived by the others in a negative way. As a leader, you need to find the right balance in everything you do.
Good luck with your Clash Royale clan ! 🤟
