Planet Alcatraz 2 English Patch — «Санитары подземелий» You can complete the game 100%!
— released in 2026 by Musa in the Steam Guides and i don't want it to disappear so we should highlight his work! Musa did 95% of the work using his personal time and AI. I did the last 5% with AI as well, fixing and gathering stuff.
Putting words in Musa's mouth 😜 : Damn near lost my mind on this one, but here it is!! 227,000 words translated, and not one of you tainted me doing it! (These are sentences from the game itself, it's Prison Humor 😄)

⚠ Content Warning
This article discusses an english patch for the sequel of a game set in a prison colony, and a large part of it deals with how that game's language was translated. The original Russian script contains sustained profanity, graphic sexual threats, homophobic abuse and racial slurs
— reflecting the criminal underworld it portrays.
MUSA the mastermind behind the translation will not be responsible for anything written on this article. If you want to fill a complain... Talk to the website owner... me! "LargeGamer" 😈

Planet Alcatraz 2 a "Goblin" approved game!
Just to be clear, this is not the review of Planet Alcatraz 2, the purpose of this article is to bring MUSA's Work to a wider audience. I don't want his work to be lost to the depths of Steam.
But this game wouldn't be what it is without Dmitry Puchkov alias "Goblin". This man is well known in Russia for having fought against censorship all his life. And the previous game Planet Alcatraz the 1st based on Goblin's work was heavily censored.
Many have tried to launch the *Planet Alcatraz 2* translation project, but it wasn't until 2026—thanks to advances in artificial intelligence and the passion of a fan—that it finally became possible. AI is fantastic for automating tasks and speeding up processes that would otherwise have taken weeks, months, or even years... it all depends on the project 😉
I myself was a Fan of the first episode of Planet Alcatraz, despite all of its flaws - and trust me there are many 😅 - And i only found Musa's work by accident.
By the way, you’ll see a few insults in the featured image for this article—that was my doing! I took the liberty of depicting MUSA as Hartman, accompanied by some famous insults from the game itself 😄 He deserves all the credits.
So, what has been done in this English patch?
Again... And i will never emphasize it enough... MUSA did the BIGGEST Part of the work!
If you arrived on this page and plan to use the package i provide, you should go and Thank MUSA on Steam 👍
| Scope | All 264 dialogue files! roughly 227,000 words, three novels' worth of text. |
|---|---|
| Timeframe | One month of solo work, with a public changelog kept from Early 2026. |
| Tools | ChatGPT, Gemini and Grok cross-checked against each other, plus Santools to extract and repack the archives. |
| Cutscenes | 147 of the 151 scene scripts translated on top of the dialogue. |
| Tone | Deliberately kept the dark, prison-slang voice of the Russian script instead of sanding it down. That said, the AI guardrails did slip through in places — homophobic slurs come out noticeably softened |
| Delivery | A single media99.bm override archive for the Dialogs — and a few other .Pak files for the interface, the scripts, etc etc, an impressive work! |
| Testing | Hundreds of repack-and-test cycles. |
| Why | A fan of Planet Alcatraz 1 who couldn't play the sequel — and finished the whole translation before ever playing it himself. |
| Missing lines | 21 dialogue lines that had slipped through, translated across 13 files. |
|---|---|
| Leftover Russian | 11 stray Russian words caught inside otherwise fully English lines. |
| Emotion tags | 943 lines realigned with the original Russian emotion tags, so characters pull the face the developers intended. |
| Scene scripts | The last 4 unfinished scene files completed. |
| Encoding fixes | German umlauts in the Aryan battle cries repaired, plus stray Cyrillic characters showing up mid-word. |
| End credits | The full credits roll translated for the first time — around 140 names. |
| Name consistency | Sorge/Zorge and Marta/Martha unified across the script — 28 fixes, straight off MUSA's own known-bugs list. |
| Archives audited | gui.pak, media01.bm, data.pak and speech.pak all checked and cleared. |
| Quest fixes | Tracked down an unofficial Russian bug-fix patch on a Russian forum, analysed it, and confirmed which quest blockers it repairs. |
| The bundle | Everything packaged into one download, so anyone buying the game today can play it in English straight away. WIN WIN for everyone! |
By the way Sorge is a reference to Richard Sorge, a famous soviet spy during World War II.

If you happen to encounter a bug or any other issue, feel free to leave a comment on this article. That said, I can't promise I'll be able to help—it all depends on whether I have the time. I’m not a modder; I was just having fun using Claude AI.

One man translated 227,000 words. Nobody thanked him.
MUSA spent a month of his own time so that English speakers could finally play this game — three AIs, hundreds of repack-and-test cycles, and a script the size of three novels. He posted it on Steam, but It did not receive the attention it should have received... This article exists because of him.
It takes thirty seconds to change that. Drop him a message on Steam. Not a like, not a upvote — an actual sentence from an actual human being who played the game because of what he did.
