Daily Missions and Daily Tokens: How They Work

For Your Information: this article was last updated on July 12, 2026, Revised and Corrected by Claude.

I previously talked about doing the CDF mission chain on Calypso, finding a Mentor as soon as possible, and grinding monsters for Codex rewards. These things are essential and should be known and done by every new starter in EU. So now let's talk about the Daily Missions and their rewards: the Daily Tokens.

Generally speaking, before grinding a specific type of mob, ask yourself:

Is there a quest or mission available for this kind of mob? Something like "Go kill 200 Kerberos" — that's why it's important to talk to every NPC with a yellow question mark. It would be a shame to grind 50 Kerberos that don't count toward a local mission which would have rewarded you for the exact same kills... just because you didn't talk to the guy first.

Rule of thumb: kill mobs when you have a quest for them.

Of course, some events or creatures have no missions tied to them at all... In that case I recommend using Unlimited weapons on them, and not weapons from the Daily Token vendor.

But back to today's main topic: the Daily Missions! Think of them as repeatable quests — on Calypso they reset 16 hours after you pick them up. You'll find them either at an NPC giving them out or at a Daily Mission Terminal. On Calypso, these terminals let you choose a Daily Hunting, Mining or Manufacturing quest, and Hunting comes in 3 levels of difficulty, displayed as Category 1 to Category 3.

  • Category 1 daily missions are for low-level players below level 20
  • Category 2 daily missions are for low-mid players between levels 20 and 40
  • Category 3 daily missions are for mid players in their 40–70 range, and even beyond!

Low-level players are generally considered to be levels 0 to 40; from 40 to 80 you're mid-level; and above level 80 you can slowly but surely be considered as moving through the high levels. Though it also depends on your firepower... Even if you reach level 81 — the MASTER level in EU — you can't call yourself a high-level player if you can't kill a Daspletor Young by yourself... which, trust me, is a BIG creature.

Here's the Daily Terminal at Port Atlantis on Calypso — and yes, you can of course abandon any mission.

Why would you abandon a mission, like on the 2nd screenshot above?

Abandoning a daily mission is no problem, and it happens when...

  1. The creatures you have to kill are way stronger than you
  2. The creature population is so scarce it would take hours to find them (not worth the time)
  3. There are too many strong creatures to kill for a low reward (not worth the effort)

Random Missions, Daily Tokens and CDF Weapons

Daily missions are totally random! Say you pick a Category 1 Hunting daily: you might get a mission to hunt 50 Argonauts, or 50 Merps, or 50 Daikibas. For all of these, you're only required to kill the lowest maturities (Punies excluded). So take the mission, explore the world to find them, look for a spot with the lowest maturity (Young) to make it even easier, and once it's done, head back to the Daily Terminal for your reward.

These are 2 NPCs, each giving a quest (Feffoid and Argonaut Cave) that rewards you with 1 Daily Token.

The rewards are either Daily Tokens — if the mission comes from a Daily Mission Terminal or an NPC on Calypso — or something else, like items or Codex skills. Tokens can be exchanged at a Daily Token Terminal for Limited CDF Weapons and other gear, and these weapons have exceptional durability, meaning they last a very long time.

And when you know that every weapon in EU decays over time, being able to exchange tokens for them is great — you won't have to spend your PED buying a new weapon (plus markup) from other players.

Here's a Daily Token on the left — and once you have enough, you can buy weapons with them.

Make sure you exchange your tokens for a weapon you have the skills to use! Check the 2nd screenshot just above and look at the weapon's stats: Damage Interval, Range, Hit Ability and Critical Hit Ability.

  • The numbers on the right are the maximum the weapon can offer if your skills are high enough
  • The numbers on the left are what you'll actually get with your current skill level

If the numbers on the left match the numbers on the right, you're good 👍

If the left numbers are FAR below the right ones, your skills aren't high enough for this weapon: you'll deal less damage, shoot from shorter range, miss more often, and rarely land a critical hit (which is double damage — and fewer PED spent killing the mob).

Some people in EU want top gear right from the start, and they end up losing a lot of PED because they can't use their weapon at its full potential. Don't make the same mistake: only exchange your Daily Tokens for a weapon you have the skills to master. Over time you'll build your skills up and be ready for a better one.

How Many Tokens for a FREE Weapon?

There are several Limited CDF Weapons available for your tokens — the full list is at the Terminal.

The cost in tokens runs from 20 to 100, always in steps of 20.

Several weapons cost 20 tokens, several cost 40, and the same goes for the 60, 80 and 100-token tiers. They're separated by the skill level you need to use them efficiently — so for the same 20, 40, 60, 80 or 100 tokens, you can buy a stronger weapon than the previous one...

So you might ask: why spend 20 tokens on the weaker version? Let's grab the stronger one right away!

As I said above: if you trade your 20 tokens for the stronger version without the skills to use it effectively, you won't be efficient with it and you'll lose PED. Be patient — skills come with hunting, and soon, for the same amount of tokens you'd spend today, you'll be able to buy a more powerful one.

Entropia Universe Beginners Guide Screenshot #41Entropia Universe Beginners Guide Screenshot #42
Example: on the left, a weapon costing 20 tokens; on the right, one costing 40.

How many tokens do you earn from the daily category missions?

  • 1 Token from Daily Category 1
  • 2 Tokens from Daily Category 2
  • 3 Tokens from Daily Category 3
  • 1 Token from each of the NPCs giving the Feffoid Cave and Argonaut Cave missions
  • 1 to 2 Tokens (or Blazar Fragments / Calamusoid Codex) from the daily mission at Fort Medusa
  • 4 Tokens at Fort Fury for a group-hunt mission against a high-level Feffoid Clan
  • On Monria: 4 daily missions rewarding 1, 2, 2 and 3 Tokens respectively

You might think it'll take ages to reach 20, 40 or even 100 tokens for a free weapon! But as I already said, these weapons have exceptional durability — and I mean it! They'll endure hours and HOURS of non-stop shooting. So by the time your CDF weapon reaches 0, you'll have more than enough tokens to buy a new one — as long as you mostly shoot creatures from the dailies, and not too many mobs outside of them.

Here's another CDF weapon — even stronger!

The Bonus Missions: a Free Gun in 10 Minutes

IMPORTANT BONUS TO KNOW:

Whatever your level... always take the 3 daily hunting missions from the terminal, every single day!

Why? Because you can get LUCKY and land a Bonus Mission! Bonus Missions are ALWAYS very easy to complete, and they can come from ANY of the daily categories — not just Hunting, but Manufacturing and Mining too.

MANY low-level players never take Category 2 or 3 dailies, assuming they'll always be too hard for them...

They don't know about the Bonus Missions. These bonuses award 10 to 20 Tokens! When you know you can trade 20 tokens for a nice, exceptionally durable gun, that's like getting a free gun in 10 minutes. Bonus Missions ask you to kill 3 kinds of creatures that literally RUN AWAY from you — so whatever your level, you'll never die 😍

  • The Daily Hunting Category 1 bonus is about killing 10 Chirpy — you'll find them on the island east of the Fort Victoria teleporter.
  • The Daily Hunting Category 2 bonus is about killing 10 Gibnib — you'll find them on the first island south of Port Atlantis (fly or swim).
  • The Daily Hunting Category 3 bonus is about killing 10 Fugabarba — you'll find them mixed with other mobs west/south-west of the Winter Park TP.

Best practice: click on every daily mission at the Daily Terminal, every day!

And yes, these BONUS missions — including the ones from the Manufacturing and Mining dailies — STILL EXIST! Every now and then, new players on the forum instantly assume they're gone just because they never got one... It's not unusual to find players in EU who think they know better than everyone else 😅 So yes, as of 2025, these missions are RARE — but I still get them every month.

Complete the ones you can and abandon the rest. Then wait for the next day — rinse and repeat 😏 That way you'll eventually land those bonuses, and you'll never have to buy a gun again to complete the other dailies. Of course, if you also take part in other events, at some point your CDF weapons won't be enough.

That's why you should keep your CDF weapons for the dailies, and buy an Unlimited weapon for the rest.

Dailies Against Addiction: Set Your Goals, Then Log Off

For casual players like me (and maybe like you?) who have plenty of other things going on in their lives, managing time isn't always easy with an MMORPG! We all know it's time-consuming — it basically never ends...

That's where daily missions come in, because they're a great way to set daily goals!

Without dailies, a player can easily spend their whole life in Entropia, day and night... But by setting yourself goals like "do your dailies, then you're off", you can manage your play sessions far more efficiently.

Speaking from experience: if I take all the daily hunting challenges from Category 1 to 3, I'll spend an average of 60 to 90 minutes completing them. Managing your time in a game like Entropia Universe helps prevent gambling addiction in the long run... and that's not something to take lightly.

Best Planets in EU to Manage Your Playtime (Casual-Friendly Ranking)

  1. Calypso part 1 — Obviously the best planet, with dailies rewarding Daily Tokens for FREE weapons. 90 minutes on average, depending on the dailies — sometimes it can stretch to 2 hours+. The terminal dailies reset 16 hours after pickup, which means you can shift your routine a bit earlier every day, but you'll never fall into an endless loop.
  2. Calypso part 2 - And since 2025, five AI-powered NPCs (Leia, Bobby, Hanna, Hans and Thorleif) also hand out dynamic hunting missions on a clean 24-hour cycle — you actually chat with them to get your mission, instead of clicking through the same static dialogue every day. A nice extra for a fixed daily routine.
  3. Cyrene — Plenty of dailies there too, unfortunately rewarding only skills. 60 minutes on average if you're disciplined; doing them ALL can take 3 hours+ otherwise.
  4. Next Island — Few dailies to be found, but they reward Oil, so you can manage to break even! 90 minutes on average, and unless you also go for the VIP missions, it won't run longer.
  5. Monria — 4 dailies on this moon, rewarding Daily Tokens like on Calypso. 60–90 minutes on average, depending on whether you stick to the first 3 dailies and skip the 4th Shub mission (a little long).

Rocktropia... Despite its missions being more long-term oriented, it's a very colorful planet with lots of good ideas — and if you're short on PED, it can be a smart move to go there for the Vixens / Trolls / Haters.

I wouldn't recommend Toulan for casual players... and it's not just a feeling: most of the hunting dailies at the Toulan Mission Terminal literally reset every HOUR (only some NPC dailies have a 16-hour cooldown). You read that right — hourly "dailies" 🤨 Without iron discipline, the loop simply never ends, and you can literally play there for days. It's a planet for people planning to spend their entire life in EU, not for casual gamers. My advice stays the same as with a real casino: when the machine never stops serving, it's YOUR job to stand up and leave — and I'm the first one who struggles with that, so I just avoid the place 😅

And I will never recommend Arkadia... The dailies are done in a taxed area, and it's just not interesting. Honestly? Arkadia is, in my eyes, the worst planet in Entropia Universe. To be fair, its Moon has one clean daily on a true 24-hour reset (about 25 minutes of work for 2 PED of Universal Ammo or a Hazmat Suit piece) — decent if you happen to be around. But that's the Moon saving the furniture, not the planet.

2,300+ hours in. I've earned this opinion.

Yes, I play a Casino MMORPG and I'm telling you to log off after your dailies — the irony isn't lost on me 😄 But that's exactly how I survived EU with my wallet (mostly) intact. Think my planet ranking is unfair, or got a better daily routine? Come tell me. I'll be right here.
