Sweat Gathering Skill: What It Actually Does!
Here is what we know about Sweat Gathering!
- It's the only free activity in the MMORPG Entropia Universe where you can also do something else at the same time — AFK players like me do enjoy that. The reason it's free is simple: the VSE Mk.1 tool every avatar starts with has a TT value of 0.00 PED, never decays and never needs repairs. Nothing to pay, ever.
- You can only gather sweat from Animals (no Mutants, no Robots).
- It can provide free skills, though the gains have been heavily nerfed over the years!
- Higher skill will NOT bring you more sweat per try. Every successful pull gives 1 to 4 bottles, whatever your level — this has been hardlocked by MindArk since VU 10.0 in 2009, when the old range of 2 to 22 bottles per pull was cut down. The only purpose of a higher skill is to gather faster than your competitors inside a group of sweaters.
The one nuance worth knowing: your Sweat Gathering level itself won't help — but a high Evade skill indirectly will. Fewer hits taken means fewer interruptions, which means more pulls per minute. So the veteran who out-sweats you isn't better at sweating; he's just harder to hit 😏 Rings like Ares or Aeglic are also helpful to pull sweat faster or stay alive longer.
- On average, expect around 400 to 500 sweat per hour — the famous "1k per hour" is mostly a legend.
- Sweat Gathering level is often seen as "how much time you wasted in your life" by depositors 😏 and it's not taken into account when people talk about active players.
- Some players use bots and virtual machines to gather sweat at scale, turning it into a small real-life income stream.
- For chatters, sweat gathering circles are good places to meet people. But be careful — plenty of players there spread false information to newcomers. So you think you found friends, and in the end you're misleaded.
How Many Skill Points per Sweat Gatherer Level?
This is the question every sweater eventually asks, and nobody documents it — so here's my own progression, tracked publicly in the comments of this very page since 2023. Real data, my own avatar, three years of sweating:

What this tells you: around level 30, each new level costs roughly 80 to 150 skill points. It took me 3 years to climb from level 24 to level 34 — and I sweat almost every time while working out in my shed 😅 So if you're wondering how long it takes to reach the top of this leaderboard... do the maths, and then ask yourself whether you really want to 🤨
Note: these are my personal figures, and skill progression may vary slightly per avatar. But it gives you a solid reference point that doesn't exist anywhere else. then again... maybe i didn't work out as much as i wanted to do 🙃

Optional Read: The Sweat Circle Wars of Calypso
You should know there's been a kind of turf war going on for years on Calypso... On one side, a few streamers; on the other, one of the big in-game land businesses. For a long time, players gathered at Club Royale, which sits on that company's land. Then a group of streamers arrived and started their own circles at OLA #42 — which happens to be part of the same estate... So, understandably, not everyone was thrilled 😏
Over the years, I watched sweat circles get disrupted in ways that felt anything but random. I was there the day a crowd of players showed up having all consumed a Daudaormur pill, wreaking havoc and killing every one of us repeatedly. Was somebody paying them pocket money to do it? I have my opinion — and in EU, people will do a lot for a few cents 😅 — but I can't prove it, so I'll let you draw your own conclusions.
What I can state as fact is the outcome: from one day to the next, the OLA #42 circle was gone, and the Club Royale circle was being promoted daily on #calytrade and #sweatcircle again. Funny how that works 🤨
Though sometimes it had nothing to do with any turf war... just players wanting to kill defenseless sweat gatherers to climb the "Killing Spree" Hall of Fame. It brings them nothing at all, but I suppose some people find it fun.
Best Sweating Spots on Every Planet
So where are the best places to gather sweat across the Universe?

Calypso :Calypso:
OLA #42 : /wp [Calypso, 29071, 58731, 109, Waypoint]
- When a big streamer circle is running here, this place is the best without a doubt.
Club Royale Teleporter : /wp [Calypso, 30843, 40282, 143, Royal Club]
- The second best spot, heavily promoted — the problem is the circles don't last long.
Osere Teleporter : /wp [Calypso, 81164, 72664, 144, Osere]
- Sometimes there's a small circle there to sweat Kerberos.
Boreas Teleporter : /wp [Calypso, 74368, 67335, 141, Boreas]
- Chaotic, not a great place to sweat, but better than nothing when no circle is available.
Cyrene:
Rookie Training Area Teleporter : /wp [Planet Cyrene, 138774, 77670, 102, Waypoint]
- The best spot on Cyrene to swunt Paneleons! They don't hurt and give a lot of sweat.
Since 2023 there's also a free healing machine here, like the one Next Island already had.
Next Island:
Crystal Peak Teleporter : /wp [Next Island, 136787, 83397, 169, Crystal Peak Teleport]
- This place has 2 circles on the ground and an automatic healing machine when you die.
The only issue with Next Island is that it's more and more deserted...
Next Island – Ancient Greece:
Sparta : /wp [Ancient Greece, 35650, 19346, 142, Sparta]
- Great for swunting low-level (1-4) Cyclops and Bullman.
Rocktropia:
Parking next to Neverdie Club
- Obviously the best place to swunt Vixens.
You can also sweat Trolls and Haters (I don't remember the TP).
